Modules
PROGRAM MODULES
Our program is organized into seven modules totaling 144 hours of live, bilingual instruction. Each module combines clear explanation, real field scenarios, a hands-on participant product and direct instructor feedback.
MODULE I
20 hours
Fundamentals of Operations
OVERVIEW
Build a working map of onshore oil and gas operations and the role water plays in production. Learn the sequence from water sourcing and transfer through treatment, reuse and disposal; the purpose of tanks, pumps, valves, manifolds and transfer lines; and how field teams coordinate around these systems.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
- Name the phases of an onshore operation.
- Identify ten pieces of surface equipment.
- Explain the water cycle from source through transfer, treatment and disposal.
WHAT YOU WILL PRODUCE
A process flow diagram with a short oral explanation.
MODULE II
28 hours
Field Safety
OVERVIEW
Develop the safety mindset expected in industrial environments: hazard recognition, stop-work responsibility, job safety analysis (JSA), personal protective equipment, line-of-fire awareness, energy isolation concepts, vehicle and pedestrian movement, housekeeping, communication and emergency escalation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
- Complete a job safety analysis for a concrete task.
- Select and inspect personal protective equipment.
- Recognize when specific training and authorization are required before entering a confined space, working at height or approaching a hazardous atmosphere.
WHAT YOU WILL PRODUCE
A completed job safety analysis with a short oral explanation.
MODULE III
20 hours
Hazardous Materials and Waste
OVERVIEW
Learn how hazardous-material information is organized and used in the field: labels, safety data sheets (SDS), storage requirements, waste segregation, chain of custody, spill communication and container identification.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
- Locate the information you need in a safety data sheet.
- Segregate waste according to procedure.
- Complete a waste manifest with chain of custody.
WHAT YOU WILL PRODUCE
A safety data sheet and waste-manifest exercise.
MODULE IV
14 hours
Environmental Compliance
OVERVIEW
Understand why field records matter and how operating information supports environmental accountability. Work with practical examples of discharge, emissions, water consumption, waste movement and incident documentation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
- Maintain environmental records with the correct fields.
- Recognize exceptions and conditions outside the operating range.
- Produce a period-end compliance report.
WHAT YOU WILL PRODUCE
An environmental reporting exercise and a period-end compliance summary.
MODULE V
28 hours
Applied STEM Competencies
OVERVIEW
Practice the mathematics and data interpretation used every day in the field: unit conversion, order of magnitude, ratios, flow, volume, pressure, temperature, level, basic water-quality parameters and operating trends.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
- Convert field units and verify order of magnitude.
- Read pressure, flow, level and temperature instruments.
- Interpret an operating data trend, sample water and read basic parameters.
- Know when a deviation requires escalation.
WHAT YOU WILL PRODUCE
Field calculations and trend-interpretation exercises.
MODULE VI
20 hours
Bilingual Terminology and Procedures
OVERVIEW
Connect Spanish-language comprehension with the English terminology used in manuals, labels, shift reports and field communication. Learn to translate meaning, not just words, so that nothing is lost or misunderstood on shift.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
- Follow a procedure written in English without assisted translation.
- Write a clear shift report for an English-reading supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL PRODUCE
A bilingual terminology glossary and a shift report.
MODULE VII
14 hours
Procedure Manuals
OVERVIEW
The final module brings everything together through reading and writing standard operating procedures (SOPs): purpose, scope, responsibilities, prerequisites, hazards, steps, acceptance criteria, documentation, approval and version control.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
- Draft a bilingual procedure for a task you know, including its safety controls.
- Explain version control and the approval process.
WHAT YOU WILL PRODUCE
A bilingual procedure and a final presentation.
Our training builds technical knowledge, safety awareness and field readiness. It does not replace employer-specific qualification, site procedures or authorization to perform regulated tasks.
VIP ZONE
20 hours
Comprehensive Face-to-Face Advisory
The VIP Zone is our exclusive space for comprehensive, one-on-one, face-to-face advisory. Here, students work directly with our founder, a field operator with hands-on experience in Permian Basin operations, to solve real problems and take their skills to the next level.
WHAT THE VIP ZONE OFFERS
Troubleshooting: step-by-step guidance to analyze operational problems: what the symptoms indicate, what the possible causes are, what to check first and when to escalate.
Advanced problem solving: complex scenarios that go beyond the module content, worked through together until the reasoning is clear.
Field-integration advisory: guidance on communication with crews and supervisors, professional conduct and resolving workplace challenges in the field.
FORMAT
- Individual, face-to-face sessions.
- By appointment.
- Available to enrolled students.
VIP advisory is educational. It does not replace site procedures, supervisor instructions or employer authorization.
